Blackjack strategy:

Blackjack is purely a game of odds. You are playing against the house, instead of against other real people. Because of this you need to have a solid betting strategy, and stick to it! I recommend: http://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/

The nice blackjack betting table on their site (also posted below) will help you know when to bet, split, stand, etc.

Key to table:
H Hit
S Stand
D Double if allowed, otherwise hit
DS Double if allowed, otherwise stand
P Split
H/P Split if allowed to double after a split, otherwise hit
H/R Surrender if allowed, otherwise hit

For the amount you bet on each hand, it should be around 2% of your bankroll. The lower your bet, the smaller your delta (rate of change over time). This means that if you go on a losing streak, you wont lose as much. However, you wont win as much on a winning streak! The reason for having the lower bet is to lower the chance of losing all your money! *imporatant* do not vary your bet amount! When you start doing this, it messed up the whole betting table and cause you to lose your edge!

The point of this strategy is to minimize your losses, while meeting a certain betting amount requirement to receive a bonus, or a comp.

The normal return on blackjack is about 97% (i.e. you play $1,000 in hands, you should end up with about $970). Different house rules will effect that. If the house hits on soft 17, you lose about .3%. If you cant double on soft hands, you lose another 1-2%. Early surrender helps in your favor about .5%.

*important* NEVER buy insurance! The house has a 5-8% edge, and as it is impossible to count cards online, you cannot improve this!
